Human blood has been used in art since the beginning of time, both to create something profoundly unique and as a token of Memento Mori; the tradition of keeping a loved one’s memory close.

The Satanic Temple Salem is pleased to partner with a local supplier here in New England to offer blood rings, made with your own blood, to be incorporated into your ceremony with us. 

How it works

Please read all of the information below fully before placing your order. 

1. Upon placing your order, your details will be sent to our supplier. 
2. The supplier will mail out a blood collection kit to you. It is recommended you have a nurse or trained phlebotomist assist you with this procedure. Each kit contains a 23g collection butterfly needle, vacutainer, tube holder, tourniquet, gloves, a ring sizer and an information card. Each vacutainer only needs 2ml of blood. You will receive two collection kits - one for each ring. Once completed, you will mail this kit back to the supplier, where it will be processed into your rings. 
   
3. Once the supplier is finished with your order, the rings will be mailed to you at your home address so you can bring them to your ceremony booking at The Satanic Temple Salem. The processing of blood and inlaying into the rings can take 1-2 weeks before they are shipped. It is recommended that you order and complete this process with plenty of time for the rings to be created and returned to you. There will be no refunds if the rings are not returned to you in time for your ceremony.
   
4. A custom blood ring exchange portion will be inserted into your ceremony, written and officiated by your Minister of Satan.

About the rings

Each set contains one thick band and one thin band.

The bands are made of a scratch resistant stainless steel and are available in black or silver. The blood is sealed inside a scratch resistant resin that most mimics glass, offering a high-shine and high color result.

Everyone’s blood is different, depending on oxygenation, personal health, and environmental factors. Some rings may be brighter or darker than others.
